Welcome back, Nova SBE students, and a special shout-out to all new students beginning your journey this semester! As we usher in the 2025/2026 academic year, the Teresa e Alexandre Soares dos Santos Library opens its doors, ready to support your learning, exploration, and growth. Here’s what you need to know:
Regular Hours for a Smooth Start
The library resumes its academic season schedule open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.(Library opening hours)
Extended Study Times for Peak Demand
Certain periods in the semester bring heavier study traffic and the library has you covered. Enjoy extended hours where the space stays open until midnight and even opens on Saturdays:
- First Semester Extended Hours:
- October 6–17
- November 24–December 18
- Second Semester Extended Hours:
- March 16–26
- May 11–June 2
During these times, extended hours run Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 a.m., and on Saturdays: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.(Library opening hours)
Note: Extended hours and Saturday access are exclusive to Nova SBE and Lisbon MBA students; services are limited to study space only—staffed services run during regular hours(Library opening hours)
What to Expect in the Library Space
- Two floors floors:
- First floor: informal reading room, sofas, “nap” room, and computers equipped with tools from Bloomberg to Python(NOVA SBE Library)
- Second floor: main study zone and location for the library’s main book collection (arranged by the Library of Congress classification), plus group study rooms for collaborative projects(NOVA SBE Library)
Plus, don’t forget to book your preferred study spot, PCs, or group rooms using the library’s booking system, especially important during busy exam periods(Book your space)
